The Sticky Note – NaPoWriMo 2017 Day 19

One merry summer,
In a small town yonder,
Little Jake Miller,
Decided to be an inventor.

He sat upon a haystack,
Thinking how to discover a hack,
But not a single idea could he track,
Before his mum called for an evening snack.

Bored and feeling glum,
He got a bit of gum.
And started chewing, Oh! yum.
But then he heard his Mum,
And wanted to hide the gum.

So he pulled out a paper to stall,
And hid the gum behind and ran to the hall,
But on the way, it got stuck to the wall,
And became the first sticky note after all.

NaPoWriMo 2017 Day 19

Today’s prompt,

Today, I’d like to challenge you to write a poem that recounts a creation myth. It doesn’t have to be an existing creation myth, or even recount how all of creation came to be. It could be, for example, your own take on the creation of ball-point pens, or the discovery of knitting. Your myth can be as big or small as you would like, as serious or silly as you make it.

I got inspired by this article I read about a Sticky Notes War for this one.
