It’s all a game to them

A new beginning, a new page,
So they say.
And yet it is all the same
What comes today, goes today.
And yet, they say, tomorrow is another day.

Why is it that what ‘They’ say matter?
Can ‘they’ not keep silent?
or even better, why even bother.
Life goes on whether, ‘they’ are there or not.
So climb up, stand straight.
And step forward.
For it is all a game to them.
