Fresh Start

They say that you start to care about something once you have lost it. Well, almost lost in my case I suppose.

I had this blog hosted in its new domain for almost 2 years now. Other than NaPoWriMo’s in the month of April, I never really took the time to write as I had initially planned to. I kept citing some reason or the other.

This month my 2 year tenure for the domain was gettting over and I was struggling to renew it. It was at that time that I realized how much time and oppurtunity I had lost. I could have done a lot of things in the time I spent on the numerous fanfictions I read [don’t ask me how I found time for that]. But yeah, I realized all this during the past one week.

Regret tastes really bitter. And feeling regret is one of the worst things to expereince in life. But on a better note, I was able to renew the domain for another year on time somehow. And hopefully, I will spend the rest of the year in a much better way than I have till now.

Two things kept me from posting more frequently. The prominant one being my procrastination tendencies. I have read that being accountable is one way to beat it. And that is one of the reasons why I am posting this now.

The second problem why I didn’t post more often, was my need for things to be perfect. Perfectionism can be good and bad. In my case, I keep thinking a post is not good enough and I never post it. This slowly carried over to me never even typing it in the first place. And finally the blog just remained by itself. Barren..

Well it is high time I made some changes in my life. And this is the first place I am starting the changes in.
