Gutenberg Editor – Trial

Have you tried it yet?

Well I am sure if you are into blogging and you use WordPress you would have heard of the Gutenberg editor at some point.

Simply put it replaces the classic WordPress editor with a new one consisting primarily of blocks. Each block can be customized into a header, image, paragraph and so on.

I am making this post with the Gutenberg editor to see how the features are. So do forgive the random bits and pieces of stuff popping up below.

I am warning you this is going to be the most unstructured post ever. ^_^

And here we go…

The game chrome lets you play if there is not internet.
Have you guys seen this screen when there is no internet?

Do you know that the page becomes a game if you press space bar? You need to make the T-Rex jump the cactus’s using space bar key.

Well I am not really a fan of games so I get tired within say 10 seconds

This text colour add is weird. I feel that it messes up the flow. But it is good for highlighting some blocks I suppose. Also pressing enter just created a new block. So its like each paragraph is a block too.

Next, gallery?

Stonehenge is something which always held a special place in my heart. I am not exactly sure what got me interested in it in the first place, cause I always wanted to visit the place from as long as I could remember.

The pictures about were taken by my friend Vinay on his recent trip there.

Speaking of Stonehenge reminded me of a HP fanfiction I read. One of the main character in it is the Henge ofcourse 😀

I am trying to provide a link to it and these blocks are frustrating me. Apparently if I paste a link directly to a block it considers it as an embedded URL and kept telling me it cannot be embedded. I ended up adding some text and pasting the URL below.

Great now I have this uncontrollable urge to go and read it again. It has been at least 5 years since I read it last.

List making is something I absolutely love. Whether I complete the things I list down is an entirely different thing of course. Here’s a list of ways I make my lists 😛

  • Bullet Journal
    • It is not just for list making, there is so much more to it
  • Trello
    • Web as well as Mobile appYou can make as many lists as you want, its endless

Ok there are few glitches in the list block. Specifically when having sub bullets. But I suppose they will get it fixed.

Embeded URL

Youtube URL
One of my all time favourites

Twitter URL
Figure Skating is a relatively new interest I have. And it is slowly becoming an obssession.

Instagram URL
My Insta account!! Please check it out!

The series that captured my heart!

I suppose enough with the embedded URL trials.

Have you ever read the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. If you haven’t, go start reading now. You are definitely missing out.

Winter – By Vivaldi

Well I suppose that is it for today. Am tired out already. My goal was to make a post by posting about blocks to overcome my mental block.

And it is done.
