Crochet Baby Hat
This Crochet baby hat was custom made for my colleague’s daughter. I loved it so much that, I didn’t really want to give it away. On top of that, it was my favourite colour.
Since I have never tried out anything like a hat, or pom pom before, it was all a learning experience for me.
It is a mix of the traditional Santa Hat(With the pom pom) attached with side flaps to cover the ear and ends to tie it up. It was made bottom up with the white border being made first. After that, the ear flaps were added ending with the part to tie up. I alternated between purple and white for this. The usual muffler which we used long back inspired the ear-flaps and the alternate colouring.
I am not used to reading patterns and just randomly increasing the count. If I am making any sort of clothing-related item, I need to have someone try it out often. Otherwise, it doesn’t come out as I want it to be. Anyway, I made some notes while making the hat. Hopefully its correct and might help someone.
If anyone tries out this pattern and finds any mistake, do let me know so that I can fix it.
